Teaching Ninpo and Ninjutsu

What is the Ninja Dojo?

The art of the Ninja, the legendary shadow warriors of Japan, is the core focus of the Tenchi Jin Dojo and it’s instructors. The school is dedicated to the factual portrayal and teachings of the Ninja arts in the traditional Japanese manner. Our mission is to create martial arts professionals with great skills and deep understanding of the martial arts.

The Genbukan organization was created in 1984 by Grandmaster Tanemura in order to preserve traditional martial arts. The arts that are practiced include both Japanese and Chinese systems, bringing to the present systems of martial arts that have been maintained and proven for many centuries. The Genbukan has schools in close to 30 countries, and offers a rare chance to be a part of authentic Ninpo training. Instructors train with the Grandmaster at International Taikai and Honbu Dojo in Japan.

The ninja were stealth soldiers and mercenaries hired mostly by daimyōs. Their primary roles were those of espionage and sabotage, although assassinations were also attributed to ninja. In battle, the ninja could also be used to cause confusion among the enemy. They were so good at their job that it was often said that the Ninja used magic. But it was instead the art was Ninjutsu, and it is this art that has been growing and becoming even more effective for over 900 years.
